The theme for our travel pics this week is A – for Antigua – Today, it’s sailboats skimming across the bay.
One of the most popular cruise-ship excursions on the Caribbean Island of Antigua is taking a catamaran off to a reef, and then snorkelling in the crystal clear waters.
And from this picture, you can see just why that is.
These vessels, which really pick up speed while under sail, are also no slow-coaches when under power.
It’s about lunchtime in St Johns when this image was taken – and you can see one cat bringing passengers back to the ship (the MSC Musica) after a morning spent swimming, and sailing, and soaking up sun .. while another catamaran takes another set of tourists out to share the wonder – each at a cost of about €70, or $A105.
