The theme for our travel pics this week is D for Disneyland.
Today, some of the Magic Kingdom’s most iconic views – the Tomorrowland Terrace, the monorail, and of course, The Matterhorn.
One of the most famous theme-park rides ever, the Matterhorn is always crowded, even on a low-patronage day like the one when this was taken.
While it was first opened in 1959, it was completely refurbished in 2012. Unfortunately, that didn’t prevent it breaking down the day we were there … there were extensive delays, of more than an hour – and that’s on top of the usual queing!
Needless to say, we didn’t ride it. Oh well. 🙂
