The theme for our ‪‎travel pics this week is D for Disneyland.

Today, we are not in Disneyland – in fact, we are actually outside California Adventure Park, the new(ish) sister park to Disneyland – built on the original car-park for the complex and opened in 2001.

This coaster is part of the California Screamin’ complex – and the ‘ferris wheel’ in the background is fascinating – the gondolas don’t stay on the outside of the wheel, like other similar rides – instead, the carriages slide up and down on the elliptical tracks that you can see – which would certainly add a little ooomph to an otherwise placid ride 🙂
