The theme for our travel pics this week is E, for Eating.
One of the best parts about taking photos while travelling is that looking at them later helps bring back the memories.
This particular dish is one of my favourites – Honey Mustard Chicken Salad, with pecans, leafy greens, onion, and capsicum (peppers to Americans).
My local pizza-and-pasta place makes the dish – and this is my attempt at replicating it.
But what’s really special about this photo, to me, is where we were when I took it.
My daughter Lini had, just a week earlier, married the love of her life in a stunning ceremony overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.
We’d flown to the US to help celebrate – and then, five days later, it was Thanksgiving.
So this was my contribution to the feast, sharing a meal with Lini’s new family and celebrating the joy of joining.
Oh, and it was pretty tasty, too – If I say so myself 🙂
