The theme for our ‪‎travel pics this week is F, for Flowers.

Our first overseas holiday on our own, without other family members, was Thailand in 2007 – and a week of that was spent at the Front Village resort at Karon Beach, on the island of Phuket.

We have a lot of great memories from that holiday – and one of the delightful surprises was to find these beautiful orchids on our pillows each evening, as we returned from our day’s activities.

It was just a little touch – but the flowers were so beautiful, and the gesture so lovely, that Shirley had this image as her phone lock-screen for many years.
