The theme for our travel pics this week is J, for Jungles (and rainforests) – and for Saturday, we head to the Mamu Rainforest Walk, on the Palmerston Highway in Far North Queensland.
Run by the local Mamu indigenous people, this is a skywalk – a raised walk through the rainforest canopy, and is part of the Wooroonooran National Park, about 90 minutes south of Cairns.
There are spectacular views everywhere you look, and some fascinating information signs – as well as local guides who can tell you lots about what you are seeing.
