The theme for our ‪‎travel pics this week is O for On-board Images.

This picture is from our first-ever cruise in 2011, and unfortunately, the image size (and resolution) is not the best.

But it’s still gobsmacking to see the detail, the work, the artistry that has gone into this fruit carving.

It was onboard the Pacific Dawn – and that ship featured something I’ve not seen since; a  sort of ‘ships showcase’ on the first sea day, with displays of all sorts – including culinary arts like this, and towel animals – but also diagrams and models of the engineering that was driving us, and examples from the crafts and entertainment options that were to follow.

As a first time cruiser, I found it fascinating.
