The theme letter for our travel pics this week is up to Q – so we’ve chosen Quiet Reflections.
For Friday, we’re in Corfu, and looking at Pontikonisi (Mouse) Island.
The island (created by Zeus from the overturned boat of Odysseus, according to legend) hosts a Byzantine chapel – which you can just make out between the trees.
Unfortunately, while you CAN sail to the island, you cannot walk around it or view the church except for one day a year: August 6th, for the Transfiguration of Jesus celebrations.
We were there in April – so no Mouse Island visit for us 🙂
