The theme letter for our travel pics this week is S, for Singapore.
Singapore’s built architecture is fascinating … there are pockets of colonial pomp, and stretches of classic Singapore rich people’s housing and brutalist public housing blocks.
And then there are the newest structures – aspirational, eschewing all the classic straight lines of the past, and idiosyncratic.
There are lots of them going up near the ports, and around Sentosa Island – but there are also quite a few, like these, going up near the city centre itself.
Singapore is always reinventing itself – and these buildings are just the latest example.
