This week, our Travel pics series is J for Jets.
For Thursday, there’s not much of the jet on display – but it was such an amazing view, I couldn’t resist!
This is the Alps, from on board an Alitalia Airbus A320
We were flying from Heathrow to Rome, to spend a few days in the Eternal City when I happened to glance outside the window.
And spotted this.
I am not exactly certain where this was but I think we were near Lac du Mont Cenis – which is on the border between France and Italy.
Most of the shots in the series I took were carefully selected to NOT show the aircraft’s wing, or (in this case, the engine) … but as I was looking through the pics the other day, I suddenly realised that the plane was as much a part of the experience as the view.
So, ladies and gentlemen, the Alps, from the point of view of Alitalia Flight AZ-205.
We are from Italy but we have never taken an Alitalia plane…should we?
