The theme for our ‪‎travel pics this week has been J, for Jungles (and rainforests)  – and for Sunday, we are at Lifou, in the Loyalty Islands of New Caledonia.

The island is a raised coral atoll, or makatea – and is a truly glorious spot.

It’s covered with rainforest, except where it has been cleared for agriculture, and features amazing vistas like this – the Sun Princess at anchor, hosting more than a thousand visitors to the island for the day.
