Marina Bay Sands resort at nightfall

The theme letter for our ‪‎travel pics this week is S, for Singapore.

We start with the Marina Bay Sands resort … like a ship-on-a-stick but bigger 🙂

This is an eight billion dollar casino and hotel complex, topped with a curved ‘Skypark’, designed to look like a futuristic ship.

As the ‘Sands’ part of its name suggests, it was built by the Las Vegas Sands group, and integrates two-and-a-half thousand hotel rooms, 10 restaurants, a shopping centre (complete with Sampan rides on artificial canals), and even an Infinity Pool measuring nearly 150 metres long, and 200m above the ground.
