The theme letter for our travel pics this week is W, for Worldmark.
Since buying into Worldmark holiday ownership in 2001, we’ve stayed at properties in Queensland, NSW, the US, Fiji, and at ‘associate resorts’ in the ACT and Indonesia – and we’ve liked them all.
But the resort we’ve used most often is Trinity Links, in Cairns, Far North Queensland.
That’s partly because my Mum and Dad lived around an hour away, and we used the Cairns resort as a base when visiting them (and my brother and sister who also live in the Far North).
But it’s also because Trinity Links is a lovely resort and a great place for a break.
It’s actually a gated condominium community where a number of locals live – but where Worldmark also owns a number of units (some two bedroom, some three).
There are facilities like a small gym, a couple of tennis courts, communal barbecue grills, a golf course right next door – and two magnificent pools.
This image was from the verandah of one ground-floor unit we stayed at – with tropical gardens, a splashing waterfall, and a gorgeous swimming pool just metres from our door.
It’s a tough life, but someone has to live it 🙂
There are a few things you need to know if you are going to stay at Trinity Links: it’s a 15 minute drive from Cairns CBD, and there’s no public transport to speak of so you will need a car – and it is in the tropics, so extra-strength mosquito repellent’s a good idea.
But there are lots of things to see and do – and there is a tour-desk at reception where they are quite happy to make suggestions and bookings.
