The theme letter for our travel pics this week is S, for Singapore.
We featured a photo earlier this week of the Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay – but to wrap us up, it’s the Cloud Forest, next door.
It’s a two acre garden, with cool moist conditions like those in tropical mountain regions between 1,000 metres and 3,000 metres.
The central feature is “Cloud Mountain” – which has a circular path leading up to a 35-metre waterfall (seen here).
I had to dash back to our hotel, so didn’t get to see “Cloud mountain” – but Shirley did, and took this stunning picture of the falls, and the plants which cover it – orchids, ferns, peacock ferns, spike-mosses and club-mosses, bromeliads and anthuriums.
